My Work
This is a portrait of my brother, drawn resting on his elbow. I used graphite pencils to draw him. Then, I took a picture of my drawing and uploaded it onto my computer. Using Pixlr Express, I removed the white space around the drawing and replaced it with a digital background. The background is an image of a Renaissance cloud painting.
Stop and Think
How can you represent yourself using objects and images? Create a photographic “self-portrait” that shows who you are through your things. Upload it to your website. Remember to consider:

– The background
The objects I chose to represent myself are based on my hobbies, my interests, and what is important to me. I placed them on a black surface, laying them flat in an organized manner. Then, I took a picture directly above the arrangement. The reason I photographed the objects in this style was to simplify the background and have a more balanced focus on all the objects.
