

I used a waxed-based coloured pencil as my drawing tool. This challenged me to transition between values without using a blending tool or smudging the pencil marks. I just slowly added layers and light hatching to “blend” the different values, especially on the egg. I think it still looks okay, even though the texture of the paper can be seen through the drawing.
