About Me:
Hello, my name is Rachael. I was born in the Philippines, but I can only speak English. I enjoy doing art, such as drawing, fibre arts, and photography. Taxidermy is also something that I do; however, I am just an amateur. Overall, I do art whenever I have the time or feel like doing so.

Artist Inspirations: Carl Parker
What is your opinion of this artist’s work and artistic process (how they create their artwork)?
I am not a fan of this artist’s work. I find it rather boring because it does not have enough interesting features. If the artist tried adjusting the line of action, they would create a more interesting and dynamic painting. In other words, the imaginary line that runs through the main subject from top to bottom is too stiff. If the line was more curved, it would give a sense of flow and rhythm. On the other hand, I like the abstract background because of its fun textures. This painting gets a rating of 2.5 out of 5 stars from me.
Stop and Think:
How has the internet and blogs affected artists and how they show their work compared to artists pre-internet? Do you feel that the internet is a better way to showcase an artist’s work than the ways they did in the past?
I think the internet has allowed artists to be more successful compared to artists before the internet. They can easily post their work online without having to pay an art gallery. People can easily search the artist’s blog on a web browser without having to meet them in person. These are just some of the advantages. I feel it is a better way to showcase their work because it allows them to get more feedback, inspiration, and help from other people. Overall, artists have benefitted from the internet.
